Educational Service Contracting (ESC) is a partnership program by the Department of Education (DepEd) aimed at decongesting overcrowded public junior high schools.
Incoming Grade 7 learners are welcome to apply to this Government program to become an ESC grantee. Once approved, the learner will be entitled to a yearly grant which will be deducted from the actual school fees.
The ESC grant covers four (4) years of JHS starting from Grade 7. Slots available are limited and is on a first come first served basis.
Senior High School Voucher Program (SHS VP) is a program of financial assistance wherein subsidies in the form of vouchers are provided to qualified SHS learners. The applicable voucher value which is determined based on guidelines issued by the Department of Education (DepEd) is paid directly to the school and will be automatically deducted from the learner’s accounts.
Who are eligible to become a Voucher Program Beneficiary (VPB):
Senior High School Voucher Program Automatically Qualified Learners
Grade 10 completers who fall under the categories below automatically qualify for vouchers and are considered qualified voucher recipients (QVRs). They do not need to apply for vouchers.
Category A: All Grade 10 completers in Public Schools operated by DepEd
Category B: All Grade 10 completers in SUCs and LUCs
Category C: All Grade 10 completers in private schools who are ESC grantees
Voucher Applicants
Only learners in the categories below need to apply for vouchers, and shall be referred to as voucher applicants (VAs).
Category D: All Grade 10 completers in private schools who are not ESC grantees
Category E: Learners who passed the Alternative Learning System (ALS) Accreditation and Equivalency (A&E) Test for Grade 10 by the start of the school year
Category F: Learners who passed the Philippine Educational Placement Test (PEPT) for Grade 11 by the start of the school year.
The TLC program is a project initiated under the administration of Mayor Lani Cayetano to help public school students transfer to private schools to decongest the public classrooms and address overpopulation problem.
